Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Stark's three assists leads to shutout win over CUC

MADISON, Wis. –Freshman Jordan Stark became the first Eagle since 2013 to distribute three assists and led the Edgewood College men's soccer team to a 3-0 shutout over Concordia Chicago on Saturday afternoon. Garrett Lee scored twice and Nicholas Bilodeau once as the pair were on the receiving end of Stark's timely passes.

Stark got the party started with a long, diagonal pass to Bilodeau in the 18-yard box as the Eagles (8-4, 3-3 NACC) took the lead for good in the 19th minute. Bilodeau, the first substitute of the match, made his presence known after having played only four minutes leading up to his third goal of the season.

Lee would find the back of the net for his 12th and 13th goals of the season in the 38th and 51st minute, respectively, off nearly identical plays from Stark. Both times Stark shuttled a quick forward pass inside the 18-yard box to a cutting Lee, who put away his team-leading goals in the back of the net.

Stark was the first Eagle with three assists since Evan Rogaczewski against Lawrence University on October 8, 2013. Current assistant coach Tim Bruner now shares a common thread with Stark as he also owns a pair of three-assist games against Wisconsin Lutheran in 1999 and 2000, respectively.

The aforementioned trio paced an offense that put nine of their 13 shots on goal and survived a Cougar attack that delivered seven shots on target. Brandyn Storhoff, who started his third match of the season, posted a season-high seven saves and preserved the Eagles second-straight shutout as they improved to 14-0 all-time against the Cougars (2-9, 2-3 NACC).

The Eagles look to match their season-high three match win streak when they host Wisconsin Lutheran this Wednesday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m.
