VERONA, Wis. – Edgewood College women's soccer season came to end on a blustery day at Reddan Soccer Park. The Eagles fell 4-0 to UW-Whitewater in their final game of the season, finishing with a record of 7-12. The match marked the final game for Edgewood College seniors Hannah Menzia and Mariah Walton.
The Eagles held UW-Whitewater (12-3-3) to just one goal in the first half, despite the Warhawks having the wind at their backs. Anna Boyd scored her 10th goal of the season in the 19th minute for a 1-0 halftime lead. Adria Schueler, Payton Deluga and Lydia Jacobson all scored in the second half for UW-Whitewater.
Eagle goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer collected eight saves in the first half, on her way to 12 for the match. Edgewood College had four shots for the game, with Walton accounting for two including a shot on goal, and Autumn Bultman recording the other shot on target.
