MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College athletics department has entered into a new transportation agreement with Badger Coaches, a Madison-based corporation for nearly 100 years. All Eagle teams will be able to travel to road games on Badger Coaches' line of motor coaches and fleet vehicles.
"We are very happy to announce this partnership with Badger Bus," said Director of Athletics Al Brisack. "This agreement with one of Madison's oldest and most respected businesses, ensures that our Eagle student-athletes will have safe, comfortable transportation to all their events. The quality service of Badger Bus is one more step in our goal of providing an outstanding student-athlete experience."
"We are excited to begin working with Edgewood College Athletics. The Eagles have a competitive schedule and we have the experience and dedicated professionals to do our part in helping their teams succeed," said co-owner and president of Badger Coaches John Meier.
Herman Meier founded Badger Coaches in 1920 with a simple philosophy of providing good service, respect, and value to our customers. That philosophy continues today with the third generation of the Meier family, John, David, and Jim. Now in its 94th year of operation, Badger Coaches has grown from one touring car to a fleet of over sixty coach vehicles of various sizes; as well as our Badger Bus Lines division that operates over 200 school vehicles and vans. From Anchorage, Alaska to Key West, Florida, our vehicles can be seen anywhere across the U.S. or Canada.
Edgewood College Athletics proudly represents Madison, Wisconsin as the city's only NCAA Division III program. The Eagles sponsor 15 sports as members of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. Eagle teams have won 57 conference championships and have appeared in 34 national tournaments.
