MADISON, Wis. – Just coming off their long spring trip to South Carolina, the Edgewood College men's tennis team took to action on their home court. The Eagles hosted St. Mary's University of Minnesota and Augustana College of Illinois, but fell 9-0 and 8-1 respectively.

Edgewood College's Michael Wanta and Patrick Lagman gave St. Mary's University a strong showing at No. 2 doubles, but fell 9-8 (7-1) to the Cardinals' Warren Lawrenz  and Collin Kaczorowski. Lagman was then locked in a marathon match against St. Mary's  as he took the Cardinals' No. 1 singles player Sam Puff to a third set before falling 6-4, 4-6, 15-13.

Against 14th-ranked Augustana, Lagman got the only win of the day for the Eagles as he topped the Vikings' Andy Wall 3-6, 6-4, 8-6 at No. 1 singles.

Edgewood College will begin Northern Athletics Conference plan next Saturday as they face MSOE and Wisconsin Lutheran in Milwaukee. The Eagles match against the Raiders is scheduled to start at 10:00 am.
