DE PERE, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's soccer team rebounded from their tie yesterday with a come from behind victory Sunday at St. Norbert College. The Green Knights had the lead, but the Eagles tied the game before halftime and scored three goals in the second half to take the 4-1 victory.

Sam Gordon got the Green Knights (0-3) on the board in the 36th minute when he converted a penalty kick.

It did not take the Eagles long to record the equalizer, however, scoring just three minutes later. Evan Conrad scored his first career goal to tie the game at one.

The match remained tied until the 52nd minute when the Eagles (2-1-2) grabbed the lead. Andrew Aurit took a pass from Sam Quinones and Alexander Ribeiro and buried his shot in the back of the net to put the Eagles ahead 2-1. Only four minutes later, Jake Owen slid a pass across the crease to Matt Pampuch who put the ball into the open net to extend the lead to two goals.

Ribeiro dished out his second assist of the game in the 65th minute, finding Kelmend Isaj who tallied his team-leading third goal of the season.

Matt Dammen earned his first career win, making two saves in the 4-1 victory. Both of his saves came in the first half as the Eagle defense tightened in the second half, not allowing a shot on net. The Eagles outshot St. Norbert 17-8 in the win.

The Eagles will be in action again on Wednesday night when they travel to Elmhurst College. Elmhurst will provide live stats and live video for the 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The links can be found on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com.
