MEQUON, Wis. – On a cool rainy day in Mequon, the Edgewood College men's soccer team played a see-saw affair with Concordia University Wisconsin. The Eagles gained an early advantage, but the Falcons came back to take the contest 3-2.

Concordia Wisconsin (12-4-1, 8-0-1 NAC) opened the match with a pair of shots before the Eagles forced play to the other end of the field, where Domann struck. In the 12th minute, Domann took a pass from Andrew Aurit and ripped a shot at the cage, but it was saved by goalkeeper Enrique Alvarado. However, the ball came right back to Domann who rifled the rebound into the back of the net to put the Eagles up 1-0.

The lead was short lived for Edgewood College (6-6-3, 4-4-1 NAC), however, as the Falcons scored just two minutes later. Sytsma took a pass from Jacob Pope and buried his shot to even the game at one apiece.

In the 37th minute, Eagle goalkeeper Kyle Koenig saved a pair of shots before Sytsma struck again. This time he took a pass from Bryan Samuel in the 39th minute and beat Koenig to put Concordia Wisconsin up 2-1.

Kelmend Isaj did not wait long to tally the equalizer, scoring just two minutes later. Thini Messan led Isaj with a pass and he sent the ball into the back of the net to tie the contest at two.

Concordia Wisconsin's Jason Rogers fed Samuel with a pass, which Samuel deposited in the back of the net to give the Falcons a 3-2 lead in the 72nd minute. From that point on, the Falcon defense tightened up, not allowing the Eagles to take a shot.

The Falcons outshot the Eagles 15-6 in the contest while Koenig made five saves while Alvarado made two saves for the Falcons.

The Eagles will celebrate Senior Day, honoring their 11 seniors, on Saturday at Breese Stevens Field when they take on Rockford College. Edgewood College will provide live stats for the 11:00 a.m. kickoff. The link can be found on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com.
