BELOIT, Wis. - The Edgewood College men's soccer team struggled to generate offense and fell to Beloit College 3-0 in a non-conference match. The Buccaneers held the Eagles to just two shots in each half, and outshot the Eagles 14-4 on Sunday afternoon.

Beloit College (6-7) opened the scoring in the 32nd minute on an unassisted goal by Silas Connelly. In the second half, Anthony Racine assisted Jackson Wilkins in the 51st minute, and Tom Slusher scored 16 minutes later to complete the scoring.

Edgewood College (6-10) managed their only shot on goal in the first half off the foot of Andrew Aurit. Woody Burns, Matt Pampuch and Brandon Jerstad also recorded shots for the Eagles. Beloit goalkeeper John Jorgenson needed to make just one save on the day to preserve the shutout.

Edgewood College goalkeeper Kyle Koenig turned away seven shots on goal from the Buccaneers.
The Eagles are currently in seventh place in the Northern Athletics Conference, and on the outside looking in for the six-team NAC Tournament. With two matches remaining, the Eagles likely need two wins and some help from Lakeland and Benedictine, who site one point ahead of the Eagles, to reach the NAC Tournament.

Edgewood College plays their last two regular season matches at home, facing Maranatha Baptist on Thursday evening and Concordia University Wisconsin on October 26.
