MILWAUKEE, Wis. – In their first game after suffering a tough overtime defeat to Lakeland College, the Edgewood College men's soccer team bounced back. Greg Dezell scored goals in each of the first and second halves as the Eagles topped Wisconsin Lutheran College 2-0.

Edgewood College (6-9, 4-5 NAC) put pressure on the Warriors (3-13-1, 2-6 NAC) early and often in the first half, tallying 10 shots in the frame. Their pressure finally paid off in the 23rd minute as Andrew Aurit slid a pass to Dezell who deposited the ball in the back of the net to give the Eagles the lead.

The scored stayed that way until Dezell struck again in the second half. Only 11 minutes into the frame, Dezell netted his team-leading eighth goal of the season, giving Edgewood College the 2-0 lead.

Wisconsin Lutheran tried to come back, but every shot the put on net was turned away by goalkeeper Robert Huss as the Eagles took the game 2-0. Huss tallied six saves in the contest, three in each half and the Eagles outshot the Warriors 20-13 in the contest.

The Eagles have a quick turnaround as they travel to Beloit College on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
