MADISON, Wis. – After Edgewood College fell behind Wisconsin Lutheran College early, they escaped with a 3-2 victory. Tyler Duellman gave the Eagles the win on a header with just four seconds left on the clock.

With the match knotted at two, the Eagles (10-3-2, 7-1 NAC) had a corner kick with just 10 seconds remaining. Edgewood College hurried to get the kick off before time ran out, and they did. After the ball bounced off a couple players, Duellman got his head on the ball and put it past Matt Eisold, the Warrior goalkeeper with just four seconds remaining.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-10-2, 1-6-1 NAC) took the early lead as Jeremy Smith netted his first goal of the season off a corner kick as he headed the ball into the back of the net in the seventh minute. The Eagles tallied the equalizer only a minute later as Jerrid Dokey took a ball from Andriy Apetrey and slid it into the net.

Duellman had a chance to give Edgewood College the lead in the 21st minute as he took a free kick from the top of the box. Eisold got a hand on the ball as it glanced off the cross bar to keep the game tied. However, the Eagles took the lead in the 28th minute. Dokey set up Paul Domann as he slid a pass across the box to Domann who netted his third goal of the season. That assist marked the eighth consecutive goal Dokey had a hand in over the last three games, with four goals and four assists.

The Warriors tied the match just three minutes into the second half as Cameron Teske took a pass from Kurt Billot and deposited the ball into the upper left corner of the net. Both teams would threaten to score but the opportunities would either go wide or were saved until Duellman broke through to give the Eagles the win with four seconds left.

For the match, Edgewood College outshot the Warriors 23-11. Eisold of Wisconsin Lutheran tallied nine saves while Shane Sullivan recorded seven of his own for the Eagles.

Edgewood College will be in action again on Monday when they host #19 Dominican University at Breese Stevens Field. With a win or a tie, the Eagles will clinch a berth in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament.
