SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – As the Edgewood College men's soccer team has done all season, they scored first in the match against Lakeland College. However one goal was not enough as the Eagles needed two late goals to top the Muskies 3-2.

Jerrid Dokey gave the Eagles (9-3-2, 6-1 NAC) the early lead in the sixth minute when he tallied the first of his two goals in the match on an assist from Greg Dezell. The game would remain that way until the final minute of the frame when Adam Benson tallied the equalizer on a free kick.

Lakeland (6-6-1, 5-3 NAC) would take the lead just seven minutes into the second half when Rodolfo Sosa collected a rebound in front of the Eagle net and slid it past Eagle keeper Shane Sullivan. The lead did not last long though, 13 minutes later Andriy Apetrey took a pass from Dokey and netted his ninth goal of the season to tie the score at two.

Just eight minutes after Apetrey tied the game, he set up Dokey for the game winner. For the match, the Eagles only allowed five Muskie shots, and only two in the second half.

The Eagles will next be in action on Saturday when they host Wisconsin Lutheran College. The game will be broadcast live at www.edgewoodcollegeeagles.com/livevideo, with free registration required. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m.
