MADISON, Wis. – The Eagle men's soccer team came up on the short end of a 2-1 defeat against conference foe MSOE at Breese Stevens Field on Tuesday night.

The Milwaukee School of Engineering (6-2-1, 3-2 NAC) beat Edgewood College for just the second time in the last 14 meetings and the first time in nearly 10 years. The deciding goal came off the foot of John Varebrook in the 77th minute on a free kick just outside the penalty box. Varebrook bent his fourth goal of the season around the wall and inside the upper right corner of the goal giving Edgewood College goalkeeper no chance to stop it.

The Eagles' (4-6, 2-2 NAC) only goal was scored by #A.J. Fameree# in the 48th minute off a rebound. Very few chances were had to try and tie the game and send it into overtime towards the end.

Each team tallied 10 shots and the Eagles held the corner kick battle 8-6 in a very physical game from the onset. Despite the loss, Shane Sullivan made five saves in goal for Edgewood College.

In the last 13 games between Edgewood College and MSOE, Tuesday night's contest marked the 12th time the game has been decided by a single goal.

The Eagles now look ahead to its game at Rockford College this Saturday. The Regents are winless in conference play thus far and have lost four straight to the Eagles. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
