Box Score

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Edgewood College men's soccer team received a taste of what once was a nationally ranked Dominican squad in its 4-1 loss on the road Saturday afternoon.

Greg Dezell was the only Eagle fortunate enough to put one past the Stars' goal keeper in the loss. Three-time all-conference selection, Matt Kochanowski, returned to action after missing the previous five games and made a remarkable statement by scoring three goals in his first game back.

All three of Kochanowski's goals came in the first half and all but sealed the deal for the Stars at the intermission. Dominican (7-2. 6-0 NAC) outshot the Eagles 11-0 in the first and allowed just six shots to Edgewood College (4-5, 2-1 NAC) in the second period.

The loss marks the Eagles' first of the season within the Northern Athletic Conference and will now have an uphill climb towards a conference championship looking up to the team that defeated them on Saturday.

Edgewood College will host the Alumni Game tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. before taking on MSOE at Breese Stevens Field on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
