DePERE, Wis. (Sept. 2, 2007) -- Edgewood College women's soccer garnered its second win in as many days with a 2-1 victory at St. Norbert College on Sunday. Kelsey Trieloff (Ridgeway, Wis.) was credited with the game-winning goal in the 60th minute off an assist by Angela Colletti (Wales, Wis.), as the Eagles begin 2007 with an unscathed with a perfect 2-0 record.
Tammi Hagensick (Madison, Wis.) put the Eagles on the scoreboard early, just 42 seconds into the match, on an unassisted goal. Jessica Schadrie netted the equalizer off a pass from Jenni Jacobsen to tie the score at 1-1 in the 59th minute.
Seconds later Trieloff connected on the game-winner, and the Edgewood College defense held the rest of the way. Newcomer Ilana Bar-av (Madison, Wis.), a transfer from UW-Milwaukee, played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles and recorded seven saves.
Edgewood College welcomes Lawrence University to Breese Stevens Field this Friday night, Sept. 7, for the Eagles home opener. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
