ROCKFORD, Ill. (Sept. 19, 2007) – Edgewood College won its second volleyball match in as many nights Wednesday with a 3-1 win at Rockford College. The Eagles got off to a good start and finished strong, defeating the Regents 30-28, 29-31, 30-15, 30-25 in Northern Athletics Conference action.
Katie Stankowski (Franklin, Wis.) recorded eight service aces and
Amber Hewitt (DeForest, Wis.) and
Kim Paskey (Poynette, Wis.) had 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Paskey also hit for a .368 attack percentage and picked up six blocks to lead the Eagles. Stankowski led the team with 20 digs, followed by
Nina Brown (McFarland, Wis.) with 12.
Edgewood College improved to 2-8 overall (1-2 NAC) while the Regents dropped to 4-6 (1-2 NAC). The Eagles will play in a triangular at Mount Mary College on Saturday where they will also face Finlandia University.
