RACINE, Wis. (April 30, 2007) – The Edgewood College men’s golf team took second place just eight strokes under the hosting team, UW-Parkside, in the American Family Insurance Collegiate Classic. The Eagles brought all eleven of their golfers to join sixty more at Racine’s Meadowbrook Country Club.
Edgewood College finished the one round match with a score of 303 (+19), which put them eight strokes more than the UW-Parkside team who finished with a 295 (+11). UW-Parkside posted the two lowest scores of the day, but the Eagles’ Mike Brennan (Sauk City, Wis.) tied for third individually with 73 strokes (+2). Teammate Joe Schwartz (McFarland, Wis.) scored one stroke more to post his 74 (+3).
The Eagles will head to Milwaukee this Sunday, May 6 to play at the Milwaukee Area Technical College Invitational at Brown Deer G.C. Golfers will tee-off at 1:00 p.m.
