MADISON, Wis. (Oct. 6, 2007) – Concordia University Chicago took little time Saturday in defeating Edgewood College 3-0 (30-17-, 30-25, 30-20) from the Todd Wehr Edgedome as Alex Pinotti and Jacquie Boatman put together dominating performances for the Cougars, snapping the Eagles two-match win streak in the process.

Pinotti garnered seven service aces and hit .391 with 11 kills, while Boatman was errorless in 19 attack attempts en route to 14 kills and an amazing .737 attack percentage. Edgewood College struggled offensively, despite 16 team kills that highlighted a short-lived game two rally. The Eagles hit just .090 for the match, led by nine kills from Greta Gueths (Shawano, Wis.).

The loss drops Edgewood College to 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the Northern Athletics Conference. The Eagles will play at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday, Oct. 10 before heading to a tournament hosted by Cal State East Bay in Hayward, Calif., during the weekend of Fall Break.
