MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Oct. 3, 2007) – Edgewood College escaped with a 1-0 victory over Milwaukee School of Engineering thanks to a game-winning goal by Kevin Fisher (Green Bay, Wis.) in the 37th minute on Wednesday.
Fisher, an all-conference midfielder who left Saturday’s match against Dominican University in the second half with an apparent leg injury, was questionable for tonight contest in Milwaukee.
Edgewood College fired off eight shots on goal compare to four by MSOE and goalkeeper Francisco Yacuta-Santana (Verona, Wis.) recorded four saves, but it was Fisher’s team-leading ninth goal of the season that proved to be the difference.
The Eagles (6-4, 4-1 NAC) will travel to Lakeland College to face the Muskies on Tuesday, Oct. 9 before returning home to take on Wisconsin Lutheran College on Oct. 13 at Warner Park.
