MADISON, Wis. (Oct. 20, 2007) -- The UW-Oshkosh Titans defeated the Edgewood College Eagles men’s soccer team 1-0 Saturday in a non-conference game at Warner Park. It was the last regular season home game of the year for Edgewood College.

UW-Oshkosh’s Adam Grant scored an unassisted goal in the 25th minute. This proved all the offense needed in a game marred by fouls (42 total; 24 by the Eagles). Eagles Harper Taggart (La Crosse, Wis.), Kevin Fisher (Green Bay, Wis.) and Anthony Colletti (Waukesha, Wis.) all received yellow cards. Eagle Goalkeeper Francisco Yacuta-Santana (Verona, Wis.) had five saves on the day while his counterpart, Titan keeper Derek Christiansen had only two saves.

UW-Oshkosh, ranked #6 in the Central Region of Division III improves to 12-2-1 on the year while the Eagles drop to 8-6 on the year. Edgewood College has two games remaining in the regular season before the NAC Tournament starts. The Eagles next game is on Tuesday October 23 in Milwaukee against conference rival Concordia. Edgewood College will conclude the regular season on Saturday October 27 against NAC opponent Aurora University in Aurora, Ill.
