SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (Oct. 2, 2007) – A number individuals contributed to a 6-1 Edgewood College victory at Lakeland College on Tuesday with five individuals finding the back of Muskies’ net while three others recorded assists. Edgewood College improved to 10-1 overall with the win and remain atop the Northern Athletics Conference women’s soccer standings with an unscathed 6-0 mark.
The Eagles led just 1-0 at halftime thanks to Kara Peppler (Madison, Wis.) goal in the 19th minute on an assist from Angela Colletti (Wales, Wis.). Laura Marx (New Berlin, Wis.) and Tammi Hagensick (Madison, Wis.) initiated a five-goal second half with unassisted strikes in the 52nd and 54 minutes, respectively, to give the Eagles a 3-0 advantage.
Erika Thompson (Waukesha, Wis.) assisted Amanda Rhyner (Delavan, Wis.), Christina Senn (Pewaukee, Wis.) recorded her first collegiate goal, unassisted, and Tami Oilschlager (Appleton, Wis.) found Tara Miller (Seattle, Wash.) to round out the Eagles’ scoring.
Edgewood College will host Rockford College at Warner Park this Friday, Oct. 5. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
