MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Oct. 19, 2007) – The Edgewood College women’s volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Alverno College 3-2 (30-15, 28-30, 26-30, 30-22, 15-8) Friday, in a Northern Athletics Conference game in Milwaukee.

Edgewood College’s Kim Paskey (Poynette, Wis.) led the team with 20 kills on 40 attack attempts while Kim Lueck (Wausau, Wis.) had a team high 22 digs. Alverno College’s Rebecca Schmid had a match high 25 digs and Katherine Lemke led the Inferno with 14 kills. It was the final conference game of the year for the Eagles.

The win solidified the Eagles' spot in the Northern Athletics Conference tournament as only the top eight conference schools qualify. Edgewood College improves their record to 9-16 overall and 6-6 in the NAC, while Alverno remains winless in conference at 0-10 and 2-25 overall. The Eagles final regular season home game is Monday October 22 versus Lawrence University in a non-conference match. Game time is 7:00 at the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
