Amber Hewitt (DeForest, Wis.),
Karyn Jordahl (Portage, Wis.), and
Greta Gueths (Shawano, Wis.) recorded double-doubles Tuesday as Edgewood College overcame injuries and jet lag to rebound from a loss in game one to defeat Marian College 3-1 (24-30, 30-23, 31-29-30-27) from the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
Hewitt garnered 21 kills on 51 attack attempts to go along with 17 digs. Jordahl registered 12 kills with 13 digs, and Gueths had 10 kills, 10 digs, and five blocks.
Kim Paskey (Poynette, Wis.) also played solid offensively with eight kills and a team-high .304 attack percentage.
Kim Lueck (Wausau, Wis.) picked up a match-high 29 digs. The Eagles (8-16, 5-6 NAC) also tallied 14 service aces in the victory.
With only one Northern Athletics Conference match remaining, Edgewood College will need to defeat Alverno College in Milwaukee this Friday for a shot at the NAC tournament, as only the top eight schools in the league standings will qualify.
