MADISON, Wis. (September 23, 2006) -- Edgewood College men's soccer dropped a close decision on Saturday, 1-0, at Breese Stevens Field against still-undefeated Norhtern Athletics Conference opponent Aurora University.

Brad Johns scored the lone goal in the 28th minute, which eventually proved to be the game-winner, on an assist from Drew Taylor.

Minutes prior, Edgewood College had perhaps their best opportunity of the day when freshman forward Jerrid Dokey (Green Bay, Wis.) stole a free kick in front of the Spartans goal, but an Aurora defender caught up with Dokey as he was getting ready to take his shot on goal and knocked the ball away.

The Spartans out-shot Edgewood 15-9 in the contest, but the Eagles won the battle for shots-on-goal, 4-3.
