NEENAH, Wis. (April 21, 2006) -- Women’s golf tied for fifth place out of seven teams this past weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational held at Westridge Golf Club. Taryn Rechlicz (Madison, Wis.) finished second overall 78.

Nicole Gluzinski (Lindenhurst, Ill.) placed 17th overall with a 91. Casey Brandreth ( Brighton, Mich.) and Kaitlyn Herzog (Waukesha, Wis.) tied for 36th individually with scores of 105.

UW-Eau Claire captured team honors. Edgewood tied with UW-Superior five strokes behind fourth place finisher UW-Whitewater. Ripon College occupied the seventh spot. Also competing were UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point, which placed second and third, respectively.

The meet was the last tournament of the spring season for the Eagles. Qualifying teams and individuals will compete at the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships May 9-12 at El Campeon Golf Course located in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
