Men's soccer suffers shutout at home

MADISON, Wis. (October 21, 2006) -- Edgewood College men's soccer had its five-game win streak interrupted Saturday with a 2-0 home loss to Concordia University - WI at Breese Stevens Field.

Both of the Falcons' (10-4-4, 5-3 NAC) goals came in the second half -- the first one from Trevor Hess in the 56th minute and the second from Brandon Chapman in the 74th minute.

Concordia fired off 20 shots, 14 of which were on goal. Edgewood College (10-4-2, 6-3 NAC) goalkeeper Ryan Flohr (Fond du Lac, Wis.) managed nine saves, which was his highest total this season in an 90-minute regulation match. Meanwhile, the Eagles' offense was held to just three shots on goal.
