PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (Sept. 21, 2005)-- The Edgewood College women's golf team continued to role through Lake Michigan Conference play at the Concordia Invitational held at Squires Country Club in Port Washington on Wednesday. The Eagles took first out of four teams at the invite, tallying a team score of 365.
The Eagles had four of the top five finalists with junior Taryn Rechlicz (Madison, Wis.) taking medalist honors with a 85 on the par 72 course. Freshman Casey Brandreth (Brighton, Mich.) fired an 88, while Nicole Gluzinski (Lindenhurst, Ill.) and Kaitlyn Herzog (Waukesha, Wis.) took fourth and fifth respectively, firing a 93, and a 99. The Eagles were 144 strokes better than second place Lakeland College who shot a 509 for the day.
