COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (Sept. 19, 2005)-- The Edgewood College men's golf team finished second out of 14 teams at the Culvers-Edgewood Fall Invitational held at The Oaks Golf Course.
Edgewood College shot a two-day team total of 622, just three shots shy of Milwaukee School of Engineering who won the meet with a 619. Scott Maupin led the Red Raiders with a 148 to take medalist honors. He defeated Brian Richards of Marian College in a playoff to accomplish the feat.
Mike Brennan (Sauk Prairie,) led the the Eagles, firing a 152, good enough for fifth place overall for the tournament. Dusty Schwab (Waunakee, Wis.) shot a 155 which tied him for tenth place, and teammates Andrew Hosking (Madison, Wis.) and Joe Schwartz (McFarland, Wis.) each ended up with a 158. Evan Holewinski (Middleton, Wis.) rounded out the scoring shooting a 163. Individually, Bob Stilling (Lake Mills, Wis.) took sixth place, shooting a 153.
