DAVENPORT, Iowa (Sept. 1, 2005) -- Three members of the Edgewood College women's golf team opened the 2005 fall season last Thursday by participating in the Augie Fall Classic hosted by Augustana College. Junior Taryn Rechlicz (Madison, Wis.) led the Eagle trio by shooting an 83, which tied her for 12th place individually, at the par-72 Emeis Golf Course. Junior Nicole Gluzinski (Lindenhurst, Ill.) fired a 90, while sophomore Kaitlyn Herzog (Waukesha, Wis.) finished one shot back at 91.

The Eagles will kick-off the Lake Michigan Conference portion of their schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 7 when they travel to Fond du Lac, Wis. to compete in the Marian College Invitational held at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. Edgewood College is the defending LMC champion. Rechlicz was the conference Player of the Year in 2004, and Herzog was selected Rookie of the Year.
