Eagles come back to beat North Park, 3-2

CHICAGO (Oct. 6, 2005) -- The Eagles came back, after being down 2-0 against North Park University last night. The Vikings came out strong, scoring two goals early in the game.

Freshman forward Erika Thompson (Waukesha, Wis), scored before the end of the half with a long ball over the Viking keeper's head. A few minutes later, a foul was called in the box, granting a penalty kick to the Eagles. Sophomore Amanda Rhyner (Delavan, Wis) put it in the back of the net tying up the score 2-2. The score remained tied until about three minutes left in the game. Kelli Sullivan (Chippewa Falls, Wis) dribbled down to the end line, slotting it back to Rhyner, who put it away. The Eagles were able to hold on the last two minutes, ending the game in the Eagles favor, 3-2.

The Women will travel to Milwaukee this Saturday, October 8th,  to play another LMC competition against M.S.O.E. The game is set to begin 3:15pm.
