Jackie Diesch’s only two hits over the weekend at Finlandia proved to be timely. The junior utility player hit two long balls, one of which was a walk-off to beat Lake Superior State 5-4 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh on Sunday. The other blast produced Edgewood College’s only run against Simpson College on Saturday. Over four games on the weekend, Diesch’s four RBIs led the team while her three runs scored tied for the team lead.
