Smith participated in three events at the Carroll University Invitational and recorded two top-tens and a school record. The senior was the fastest collegiate athlete in the 100 meter, finishing with a time of 11.05 which smashed the previous school record of 11.17. Smith also placed sixth in the 200 meter with a time of 22.67 and 11th in the long jump at 5.72 meters.
