At the UW Red & White Open, Smith participated in three events and earned nine out of Edgewood College's 20 points. The senior set a new school record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.11 to finish fifth out of 21 runners. In the long jump, Smith finished fourth with a leap of 6.21, the Eagles' fourth best jump all-time. Smith also participated in the 200 meter, finishing 16th of 27.
