Ashley Averkamp (New Berlin, Wis.) displayed a breakout performance against one of the best teams in the nation with 25 points on 11-of-18 shooting in a 72-59 loss to No. 12 UW-Stevens Point on the road on Dec. 30. The freshman, recently inserted into the starting lineup, added three rebounds and sunk her first career three-pointer in the game. She also turned in an 11-point, 6-rebound effort in the Eagles’ win over Gordon College in their first game of the Great Goombay Shootout in Nassau, Bahamas over the weekend.
