Swansby earned the Christopher Newport Captains Classic Tournament MVP after she put on a impressive display in the opening tournament. In addition to dishing out 134 assists (8.38 per set), the Berlin, Wis. native finished with an attack percentage of .365, having just two errors in 52 attacks. Swansby also tallied up 40 digs, eight blocks, and tied for the team-high with seven service aces while leading Edgewood College to a 3-1 record including knocking off fifth-ranked Christopher Newport.
