In his first collegiate appearance, Swanson earned the win, only giving up one hit over 3.2 innings of relief. The freshman came in the third inning with the Eagles down 4-3 and sat down 11 of the 13 batters he faced. Swanson struck out one and walked another as he pitched Edgewood College to their first win of the season.
