Hering scored points in all three events she entered and accounted for 17 of Edgewood College's 46 points at the Wisconsin Private College Invite. Her best event was the 400 meter hurdles where she won the event with a time of 1:08.49, coming within a second of the school record. She then finished fourth in the 400 meter dash and placed seventh in the long jump. Her jump of 4.90 meters was only 0.03 meters off of the school record.
