Amelse set two personal records in her first meet of the year, the Sol Butler Classic at the University of Dubuque. First she finished the 200 meter dash in 30.66, breaking her previous best by nearly a half a second. Next she crossed the finish line in 8.08 seconds to set a personal best in the 55 meter dash.
