Ekkela posted a trio of wins at No. 5 singles for the Eagles. Ekkela opened the weekend with a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) win at No. 5 singles against Saint Mary’s University. The senior added a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (11-9) thriller against UW-Stevens Point, before a confident 6-2, 6-3 win over Lawrence. Ekkela also went 3-0 in doubles play with her partner Kaitlyn Narkis.
