Spies posted a .267 attack percentage with 32 kills across two matches at the Coe Invite. She opened the meet with a 16 kill, 10 dig double-double. She added three blocks and three service aces in the five-set loss to Illinois Wesleyan. Spies followed that up with a 16 kill, nine dig effort versus Coe College.
