Verbauwhede broke a school and NACC record that stood for six years in the 5,000-meter run at the UW-Platteville Invitational. Her time of 17:15.03 beat out Piper Atnip's NACC record time of 17:30.20 from March 31, 2017. Verbauwhede’s time currently ranks best in the NACC by over two minutes and is 28th in Division III. The senior finished 11th in the event and led three other Eagles.
