Verbauwhede finished second at the UW-Whitewater Tom Hoffman Invitational on Saturday. The senior ran a time of 23:28.4, just one second behind the first-place finisher in the 6K distance. Her average pace was 6:18 as she led the Edgewood College team across the line. There was a total of 73 runners in the meet.
