Hinz won medalist honors at the Midwest Region Classic by shooting even par over the two-day tournament. The senior opened the tournament with a one-over 73 before firing a one-under 71 on Saturday. He helped the Eagles to a second-place finish as a team, and earlier in the week helped Edgewood College place third at UW-Eau Claire.
