Junior Brawley, Calif., native Jaime Benavides put together four strong matches over the weekend in helping the Eagles clinch a second-straight NACC regular season championship. At No. 4 singles, he took down Marian’s Spencer Braswell 6-1, 6-1 on Friday and then defeated Aurora’s Tom Asavarachan 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. He was even more dominant in his No. 2 doubles slot with an 8-1 win over Marian and an 8-2 victory over Aurora. Both his doubles wins came alongside teammate Evan Stone.
