Freshman Piper Atnip broke a NACC and school record at the prestigious Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Thursday, running the 5,000 meters in 17:42.04. She broke her previous school record by 20 seconds to become the first runner in program history to crack the 18-minute mark. She was 17th overall but the second-fastest NCAA Division III runner in the event.
