Senior right-hander Nate Averill, a native of East Lansing, Mich., appeared in two games last week and was 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA. He came on in relief against D-1 UW-Milwaukee and struck out the only batter he faced. On Sunday against Marian, Averill went eight innings, allowing only two earned runs on 12 hits while striking out five and walking none.
