Freshman distance runner Piper Atnip broke a school record by nearly ten seconds and finished second of 36 runners in the 1,500 meters at the Redlands Invitational in California last Friday. Her mark of 4:47.82 broke Jenny Larson’s school record by a wide margin and the time is the ninth-fastest in NCAA Division III through Sunday.
