Megan Scheele (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) averaged 28.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in the opening two rounds of the NAC tournament. In a semifinal loss to Concordia Wis., Scheele tied a career-high with 38 points on 14-of-20 shooting and 10-of-12 from the free throw line and added a game-high 12 rebounds for her 53rd career double-double. She finishes the year averaging 22.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game on 59 percent shooting.
Scheele finishes the greatest individual career in Edgewood College women’s basketball history with 2,120 points, the most in school history and 1,047 rebounds, second most in school history. Her 53 career double-doubles is the fifth most all-time in NCAA Division III women’s basketball and she is the ninth Division III women’s player ever to score 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds for a career. Scheele also excelled off the court earning First Team Academic All-American® honors and is currently a finalist for the Jostens Trophy awarded to the NCAA Division III basketball player of the year.
